More than a ride
A rideshare driver drops someone at the curb. That is not enough for a 84 year old with a walker and a folder of paperwork. Our caregivers walk them in, wait through the appointment, help remember what the doctor said, and get them safely back inside the house.
Where we take clients
- Doctor, dentist, and specialist appointments
- Physical therapy
- The pharmacy
- Grocery shopping and other stores
- The bank and post office
- Church and community events
- The hair salon or barber
- Visits with friends and family
- Lunch out, just to get out of the house
Giving up the keys
Handing over the car keys is one of the hardest losses an older adult faces. It is not about driving. It is about freedom and being a burden to nobody.
Reliable rides make that loss much smaller. When your dad knows he has a way to get to church on Sunday and the barber on Thursday, he can let go of the keys without losing his life.
Warning signs it may be time: new dents and scrapes, getting lost on familiar routes, driving too slowly, close calls, or other drivers honking. For help having that talk, see how to talk to a parent about help.
Doctor visits, with notes
Appointments go by fast and a lot is said. Our caregivers can take notes, then share them with the family. If you live out of town, that means you know what the doctor actually said instead of a guess.
Errands without the trip
Some days going out is too much. We can run grocery and pharmacy errands while your loved one rests at home.
