Getting started

How do we begin home care?

Call or text (708) 518-5818. We talk about what is going on, then come to the home for a free consultation and build a plan from there.

Is the consultation free?

Yes, and there is no obligation to book care afterward.

How quickly can care start?

It depends on the schedule you need. Call us and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

What areas do you serve?

Frankfort, New Lenox, Mokena, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Homer Glen, Joliet, and Lockport in Illinois, plus Schererville, Munster, Dyer, St. John, Crown Point, and Highland in Northwest Indiana.

Services and care

What is non-medical home care?

Help with daily living: bathing, dressing, meals, medication reminders, housekeeping, errands, transportation, and companionship. It does not include nursing or therapy.

Do you provide nursing care?

No. For skilled care, families work with a home health agency or their doctor. We handle everything else.

Can you give medication?

We provide reminders. Administering medication is a medical task.

Do you help with dementia?

Yes. We provide calm, patient, non-medical support at home for people living with memory loss.

Can you help after a hospital stay?

Yes, with the non-medical side of recovery: meals, getting around the house, laundry, and rides to follow up appointments.

Caregivers and scheduling

Will we have the same caregiver?

We work hard to keep the same caregiver with each client, because the relationship matters.

Can we meet the caregiver first?

Yes, whenever possible we introduce the caregiver before care begins.

What if our caregiver is sick?

Tell us your expectations during the consultation and we will explain how we handle coverage.

Can we change the schedule?

Yes. Needs change, and the plan should change with them.

Cost and payment

How much does home care cost?

It depends on the hours and the type of care. We give you a clear rate and schedule before care starts.

Does Medicare pay for this?

Medicare does not pay for ongoing non-medical home care. It may cover short term skilled home health ordered by a doctor.

What does private pay mean?

Families pay directly. Some use long term care insurance or veterans benefits to help. See our guide on what home care costs.

Is there a contract?

We go over all terms in writing before care begins, so there are no surprises.

Committed to Caring. Dedicated to You.
